Moth SPM Ephestia/Plodia SUT Vial Lure is a pheromone lure for professional moth monitoring of stored products. The lure effectively attracts two main species of stored products moths:

• Indian mealybug ( Plodia interpunctella )

• Moths of the genus Ephestia (e.g. flour or cocoa moth)

Purpose and operation

Pheromone bait is used in conjunction with appropriate traps (delta-type or funnel-type traps) for the early detection of the presence of moths in premises where food is stored or processed.

Regular monitoring allows:

• detect moths early,

• take preventive measures in time,

• reduce the risk of product contamination and loss,

• ensure compliance with HACCP / HACCP requirements.

Instructions for use

1. Open the foil package and remove the vial-type pheromone bait.

2. Place the bait in the trap of your choice.

3. Place or hang the trap at a height of 1.5–2 m or in places where moth activity is most commonly observed.

4. Check traps regularly.

5. Change bait every 6–8 weeks or according to monitoring results.

Areas of application

Suitable for use:

• in food processing and manufacturing companies,

• in warehouses and food storage facilities,

• in bakeries and confectionery shops,

• in retail food and pet food stores,

• on farms, schools, hospitals, nursing homes,

• at home (in pantries, closets, basements).

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place, in a tightly closed container.

• Expiration date – up to 12 months

• Storing in the refrigerator or freezer extends shelf life
